Emarkation

Disney Cruise Line Terminal Port Canaveral Florida

Embarkation was smooth as always at Port Canaveral. We chose to do the Preferred Parking at Disney Cruise Line for 7 nights. The price was $156.00 for preferred parking and regular parking in the parking garage was $136.00. Preferred parking parks you closer to the building but your car is not in a covered area. The curb service will take your luggage for you from your car. The self Parking is across the street in the parking garage. You will drop your luggage at the curbside before entering the parking garage on self parking. Elevators and stairs are available to take you to the first floor.

Boarding

Boarding the Fantasy ship was amazing just like it is on all Disney Cruise Line ships. The feeling of welcome as you enter this massive beauty is overwhelming excitement. I love how you are welcomed on board. The cheers of welcome from the crew is amazing. The smell of the ship is inviting and the view of the Atrium is stunning. Here are some photos of the Atrium that I took!

The one thing that really stood out to me on this ship was her beautiful lighting! Really really beautiful! It catches your eye when you walk in” ~Michelle

The 3 deck Atrium was so beautiful with the dark blue, cream and light green peacock design on the carpet, gorgeous grand stair case with royal blue carpet. The tall columns were bright gold. The panels that boarder each deck had gold characters and scrolling of art throughout. The floors just shine! The beautiful Minnie statue in the Atrium completes this elegant view!

Dining

Disney Cruise Line has 3 rotational main dining rooms on all the ships in the fleet. On the Disney Fantasy ship there was Enchanted Garden, Royal Court and Animators Palate. All three restaurants had wonderful food and the service team we had which were Cindy Joseph, our head server, Joel Dsa, our Server and our assistant server Nery Esquivel Zaldivar, gave us fabulous service all week. Your service team that is assigned to you will follow you to each dining venue each night that you are assigned to. Each dining night your head server will greet your table and ask how your day was, tell you some upcoming tips or announcements for your next port of call or sea day. Your head server will also be sure to let you know that they are there to give you exceptional service and if there are any issues to bring it to the attention. Your assistant server will assist you in any bar drinks or other beverages you may need to assist the Server.

Enchanted Garden Restaurant

My brother Jerry (left) My daughter Miranda (center) and myself

The Enchanted Garden is a beautiful fairy tale restaurant on board the Disney Fantasy ship. Her soft green table linens match the beautiful green scrolling that accents the columns in the restaurant. The restaurant goes from Day to night as you dine with the flower light covers opening as the room changes. The lights in the ceilings will change different colors from blue to pink and purple. The menu gives a variety of cuisine from chicken to seafood and more. The Enchanted Garden was a delightful dining experience! We were able to dine in each of the three beautiful restaurants more then once on our 7 night voyage due to the rotational dining Disney Cruise Line offers. Each restaurant had available a different menu each night we dined. We enjoyed all of them! Below are photos of dishes from Enchanted Garden Restaurant. Food was amazing!!

Royal Court Restaurant

The Royal Court Restaurant was my very favorite restaurants out of the three restaurants on board. I was lucky to have the majority of my dining nights in this restaurant. It is beautiful with the red and gold carpets, light color columns and ceilings with trims of rich gold. The lighting in this restaurant was just beautiful and added an elegant touch to the eye. The lighting sitting on the lower columns sat inside the gold Royal pumpkin coaches. So beautiful and elegant! The French cuisine in this restaurant was amazing! The artwork in the back of the restaurant where we sat was made of tiny glass and featured Jasmine and Aladdin on the magic carpet. I have noticed that Disney ships have a variety of different art made with tiny glass. So beautiful! Below are some of my food dishes from the Royal Court, all were very good except for the poor quality beef dish that I got on Pirate night, it was not good, very bad cut of meat, flavor not good, tough and could not cut it. The only one food item that was not good. Everything else made up for it and was honestly amazing!

Artwork made of tiny glass

Animators Palate

Animator’s Palate on board the Disney Fantasy ship was a bright and cheery dining experience. It is a room that is filled with folks who draw there own cartoon character and then everyone has their drawing in a showtime spectacular that is shown on the screens for everyone to enjoy at the end of the dining experience. It was amazing. I have shots of it in my Disney Fantasy Vlog series that is up on Youtube. It is a restaurant that has chairs made of Mickey Mouse, columns that are pencils and paint brushes. The ceilings are lighted in beautiful paint colors for any artist at heart to love. The movie screens that are located all over the dining area to allow all to view has a special interactive Crush experience that is bound to give you a good laugh. Crush interacts with the audience! All this entertainment while you feast on some amazing Disney Cruise Line dishes. Below are some of my photos of dishes we had. All of our food was really good! My favorite dish is the Black Truffle Pasta!

Adult Dining on Board Disney Fantasy

Palo Menu

Although I was unable to dine in the Adult restaurants, I did manage to go in while they were closed and take some shots of each restaurant. Please be noted that they were Closed and that is why the tables were not completely dressed.

Remy Menu

Disney Cruise Line offers adult only dining dining experience on board for an extra charge per person. Palo and Remy both are beautiful dining venues on board the beautiful Fantasy ship and will provide impeccable dining service, delicious food and outstanding views. Reservations prior to sailing strongly advised since they book quickly. There is also a Sea day brunch available for reservation too for an extra charge. These restaurants are so beautiful and elegant, there is also a sitting lounge that is connected in the middle of the two restaurants to offer you a relaxing place to sit and have a cocktail if waiting for your table or perhaps just to come in to socially have a drink. Outside seating was available also. I have a Youtube Vlog that shows you these venues that is linked below.

Cabana’s Lido Buffet Dining

Cabana’s is located in the Aft of the ship on the Lido deck area. It is a beautiful large casual dining experience which offers a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. The island decor is tropical themed and features beautiful colors and palm trees. The outdoor seating is one of my favorite areas to be on in the morning for breakfast. The Aft views are amazing and peaceful in the morning. Cabana’s is open for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. Dinner was not available on the first sailing night of our sailing but I was told every night after that would have dinner. We ate in Cabana’s for breakfast and lunch every day of our sailing. We enjoyed it. The ship does offer sit down restaurant dining for Breakfast and Lunch but we did not do the sit down. I have added some photos below to show you some of my Cabana’s food we had during our sailing.

Other Food options

The lido has food options for quick bite located on deck 11. Flo’s Cafe offers 3 different options. Tow Mater has hot dogs, burgers etc., Luigi’s Pizza has a variety of pizza including cheese, veggie, pepperoni and more. Fillmore’s section will have sandwiches, wraps, fruits and salads. Cove Cafe is in the adult section and will offer up specialty coffee and small eats. On deck 4 you find Vista Cafe that has specialty coffee, mini bites and other teas and beverages. Eye Scream has your favorite soft serve ice cream and are open late on the lido deck. Also on the lido deck you will find the sweet shop Sweet on You which offers a variety of sweet tooth treats for an extra charge. Room service is also available and has a variety of items to choose. Trust me it has the best mac n cheese, just saying! Buena Vista Theater has a snack bar too by the theater to offer alcohol beverages, soda, water, candy, popcorn and other items. The adult section on board Deck 4 will have a late night snack buffet for adults only.

The Walt Disney Theater

The Walt Disney Theater offers live broadway shows that are really good! The shows are offered twice in the evening to accommodate both dining times. The scheduled shows will be presented on the sign outside the theater or in the online Navigator on your App along with times.

The Buena Vista Theater

The Buena Vista Theater is a large movie theater that features Disney’s first run movies. Be sure to check out a show! It is on Deck 4

Entertainment, Pools and Sports Recreation

Disney Fantasy has a variety of entertainment and recreation to keep you busy during your journey to paradise. The daily schedule can be found on your Disney Cruise Line App along with a variety of other information. No need for anymore paper in your stateroom delivered with the convenience of the app right at your fingertips on your smart phone. Be sure to download the Disney Cruise Line App to your phone prior to sailing. On the schedule you find game shows, schedules for kids, bingo, cooking demos etc. Some of the sports recreation on the ship is a putt putt mini golf coarse, foosball, ping pong, basketball. The ship has an adult pool in the adult section that offers a swim up bar with seating and hot tubs. The main lido deck has Mickeys slide along with Mickey’s pool and a main larger pool. Fresh Towels and Life Vests are available on deck. Life guards are on duty while the pools are open. The ship has a wide selection of seating and loungers to enjoy during the day or to enjoy a movie outside under the stars while your children swim. You will also find hair braiding on deck available for extra charge. You will also find souvenir kiosks.

Adult Bars

The Disney Fantasy ship has an all exclusive Europa adult area to the ship on Deck 4 that is really amazing. I had my young daughter on this trip and was not actually able to experience the night life but since I was able to walk through and view these fine places on the ship, I can only image how awesome they have to be for adults! Trust me folks, Disney is not just for children, they have great adult night life with lounges and adult comedy available. You will find outdoor bars and lounges on board too.

The Europa section on deck 4 featured some really nice adult lounges. O’Gills Pub was a very nice Irish pub that had a few tv screens available for sports viewing. A nice casual area for sitting and playing board games if you wish. The pub offered several different board games for use while having your favorite brew.

Skyline Lounge offered a very cozy bar setting with a fireplace setting and night time views on large LCD screens of different city views including Hong Kong, New York, London and Barcelona.

Ooh La La was a beautiful and romantically elegant champagne lounge. A pianist is there to give you some live entertainment. A really nice setting for a few friends or a romantic date.

La Piazza was an Italian Festive themed Carosello bar that was really nice. They have a small late night buffet available for adults only.

The Tube was a London inspired lounge that was really cool! I have these lounges located in my Fantasy ship vlogs so check them out! There is certainly a lot of great things for adults to do on board the Disney Fantasy.

Shopping

Shopping is plentiful on Disney Fantasy. The ship offers duty free shops that carry fashion items, clothing, souvenirs, personal items, toiletries, Disney Cruise Line merchandise, Fine Art and other collectibles and jewelry. Mickey’s Mainsail, White Caps ,Sea Treasures and Bvlgari jewelry you will find on Deck 3. Tiffany & Co is on Deck 4. You will also find on deck 11 Whozits & Whatzits that offers anything you would need for the sun deck from bathed suits, flip flops, cover ups, sun screen etc. Vista Art Gallery is located on Deck 2 where you can view artwork that is sold in White Caps on board.

Remember that the ship also offers great entertainment for all ages of children to keep them busy so adults can have a night life. Nursery, Oceaneer Club, Edge and Vibe are available!

Shutters Portrait

Shutters on Deck 4 has multiple kiosk stations for your portrait viewing and purchase. Be sure to get all those portraits ordered by the night before your cruise ending to ensure they will be ready for pick up in time before debarkation. You can stop by anytime to view your photos by using your room card to find your account.

Debarkation

We chose to do the express Debark, we were instructed to go to Deck 4 by 7 am. The wait was about 30 minutes for us to actually get off. It was not a bad wait. Port Canaveral was easy as usual to get though the process. We had an amazing time on board the Disney Fantasy ship! It was so worth the money spent for the impeccable service we got, really good food, great shows and an amazing state room hostess that kept our room fresh, cleaned and well stocked with everything we needed throughout our journey to the Western Caribbean. I highly suggest a Disney Cruise for you and your family! My cruise Vlogs are located on Youtube on my channel Mlb Destinations, check them out! Remember to like and subscribe for more of my content! Cruise Consisted of Nassau and a Sea Day

Harmony of the Seas docked in Nassau Bahamas

Embarkation:

I sailed the Harmony of the Seas with my father, my brother, my son and his girlfriend on May 9, 2019. We had a 3 night Bahama Cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida! I booked a 3 night so we could see if we liked the mega ships. It was a trip that was not long enough. We really had a nice, relaxing time. Embarkation day went very smooth. We got through security and checked in very quickly. I really thought that for the size of the ship, it would be a very long process but it proved me wrong! Once we boarded I couldn’t believe how big the ship was, she was the largest I had ever sailed, you can’t help but just stare when you board and look around. There is nothing that stands out as far as a beautiful atrium, instead it is like being in a HUGE mall with many things to see. There was a lot to soak in, where do we go, where is everything, how do we get our room keys, how do you change your method of payment. There was no one that was offering direction or things for sale when we boarded like on most ships so we went and found out our information on our own.

Guest services was directly across from where we boarded and they helped us with our questions and changed out method of payment and also fixed the errors we had with our shows that were booked. Your room key is at your stateroom door when you arrive. The luggage that is delivered to the floor will stay where it is left near the area they unload it to the floor, you will need to walk there to get it. Ours was at our door but folks that had rooms farther down the hall walked down to get their luggage so i am assuming that is how it goes. There is no mid ship elevator, it only has forward or aft elevator. The ship is very modern and has modern decor and technology to assist passengers. There was an area that had about 9-10 Apple iPads that would assist you with the Royal Caribbean App in case you did not have a smart phone to download the app. The App was very helpful with letting us know schedule, dining, menus, times, shows, your account balance etc. Your television in your stateroom would give you account information also. The ship was clean and I always saw workers cleaning. The elevators except for boarding day was never congested and you really did not feel the amount of people that were on board. We saw quite a bit on this sailing but missed a lot due to not enough time, you have to go a longer voyage to see everything.

Tip: When you want to go to Boardwalk which is on Deck 6 aft, you will have to go to Deck 5 aft and then walk up to Deck 6 to get to Boardwalk, deck 6 does not go all the way across.

Boardwalk

The Boardwalk offered shopping, a full service Starbucks, restaurants which include Johnny Rockets, Sabor Mexican and Boardwalk Dog house. The Aqua Theater, the ending point of the Abyss Dry Slide, The Carousal, the Arcade, and live entertainment are some of the things you will find on Boardwalk.

The Carousel is Complimentary

Central Park

Central Park was one of my favorite areas of the ship. It is a beautiful stroll with music in the background, a nice lovely breeze, live plants, most of the specialty restaurants like Chops Grille, Jamie’s Italian, 150 Central Park, and Garden Cafe which is complimentary and great to grab a sandwich or salad, cup of coffee or a sweet treat. There is high end shopping and Outdoor seating is available throughout Central Park. It was a really beautiful area to the ship.

Dining

There are several options on board The Harmony of the Seas for dining, whether you would like a quick bite or a nice sit down dinner, there is something for everyone on board. There are several complimentary places to eat including Park Cafe, Boardwalk Dogs, Sabor, The Windjammer Marketplace buffet, Sorrento’s Pizza, Promenade Cafe, Mini Bites, Solarium Bistro, Room service will provide free continental items but other items are available for extra charge. Coastal Kitchen is available but only for suite guests. The 3 main dining rooms include American Icon, The Grande and Silk.

Dining options that are for additional charge include, Chops Grille, Izumi, 150 Central Park, Starbucks, Wonderland, Johnny Rockets, and Jamie’s Italian.

Our Stateroom

Our stateroom was Room 10212, an Oceanview Balcony room. Very Spacious, modern decor, clean. It had 2 twin beds that converted to King, a sofa that turned into a bed, lots of areas for storage including large closet and a vanity area with lots of drawers and cabinets. A refrigerator, ice bucket, hair dryer was included in the room as well. The bathroom was roomy, modern glass door to shower and lovely backsplash of brown tones on the sink. The room came with plenty of electrical outlets. The balcony was a larger size then we were used to for a regular balcony with 2 lounger chairs with footrests and a small table. Very nice!

Entertainment, Sports and Activities

You will find all sorts of fun activities on the Harmony of the Seas. Certainly not enough time on a 3 night voyage! Take yourself a longer one so you can have time to do all that they offer! The ship includes an Ice skating rink that allows for freestyle Ice Skating and shows, Putt Putt Golf, Zip lining, Comedy shows, Bingo and other scheduled game shows, live shows in the theater, Aqua shows in the Aqua theater on Boardwalk, A Carousel, Parades, The Abyss Dry Slide that takes you 10 stories down, high end jewelry and duty free shopping. The ship has a lot of night time entertainment and dancing provided by staff on the Promenade and Boardwalk decks. A library with books and boardgames. Children have tons of activities in the children area on the ship.

You will find Pools with 3 water slides, one including a slide bowl, and Hot Tubs, you will also find 2 Flow Rider Pools, and a Dive Center on board as well. The children have a wonderful splash area as well.

The ship offers a jogging track, full service gym the offers free weights, treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and weight machines. A spa to offer up massages, nails and hair services. If you want an adult area on board, visit the Solarium which has hot tubs, pools, food areas and great look out areas to view the front of the ship. Great option to watch sail away. The area is for guests 16 years and older!

To view more of the recreation, watch my youtube videos! Thank you in advance! I appreciate you!

Casino Royale

We loved the Casino Royale! It was a very large casino and it was divided into smoking and non smoking, had great ventilation and was loaded with lots of slot machines, tables and had plenty of wait staff to serve you a drink or you could walk up to the bar that is located in the casino. It was very nice!

We had a great time on board the Harmony of the Seas and would really like to take her on a longer voyage to be able to experience more that the ship had to offer. I hope that you and your family can take a voyage on her and if you do, drop in the comments below of what you liked about her! Disney’s Grand Floridian Property

By: Mlb destinations

The Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel and Spa is one vacation luxury you have to try at least once in your life. She is by far, my very favorite hotel resort that is on the Walt Disney property that I have stayed at so far. You will feel the luxury from the moment you pull into the Grand Floridian. She is rich with luxurious greenery and landscapes. As soon as you pull away from the guarded booth at the entrance, her Victorian elegance is a pleasant view to the eye. Your option for parking is either to pull up and have the Valet staff take your bags and park your car or you can choose to self park your car for a lesser daily fee. The Grand Floridian is in the Magic Kingdom area of Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. She is a deluxe resort and also has villas.

The Victorian Style buildings and lush greenery is a prince and princess dream! As you walk up the property you hear the sounds of the transportation Monorail up on the 2nd floor. When you get to the entrance you will have friendly guest service staff to welcome you to the hotel and a view of a Cinderella carriage is seen before walking in the Lobby. The black Carpet ground mat when you come in has a large gold scrolling of GF and the smell of the Floridian is so nice and clean! I love the smells of the deluxe resorts in Disney, they use a freshener system that is very lovely, inviting and not over powering. The lobby of the GF is so beautiful with her huge chandeliers and 5 levels of beauty. The Victorian architecture and crown moldings, beautiful greenery, a grand piano, a birdcage elevator, furniture that is luxurious, makes this a grand view!

For our visit at Christmas, the grand Christmas tree is present in the middle of the lobby along with drapes of garland on the upper levels. The huge gingerbread house is also set up and invites you for a closer look which is made out of real edible sweet goodness. Treats are available for purchase at the Gingerbread house. Christmas time is such a great time to visit the Grand Floridan. It is so beautiful and just has that rich Christmas spirit!

The 5 levels in the Main building are the lobby with guest services, bell services, Disney shopping including a luxury soap store, elevators to Main building guest rooms, restrooms, restaurants, orchestra band, tea room etc. If you book a stateroom with a Main building description, your elevator to your room will be in this building. The other rooms are in surrounding buildings which surround the main building.

Our Room

We had a Garden View Room and it was located a couple buildings away from the Main building. It was a beautiful entry with lovely furniture and mirrors as you walk in, the welcome scents are amazing and inviting. Our room was very spacious, had 2 Queen beds with luxurious bedding, a couch that made into a night time bed, a large double sided closet, a laundry bag is available for laundry service at an additional charge if you wish, a mini fridge, tv with a lot of drawers for storage, a vanity with stool and a Keurig coffee maker and K cup coffee, a large double bathroom, the one part of the bathroom was a double sink area that had a large mirror and amenities of different Disney H20 Spa products. A blow dryer is provided in the bathroom dressing area as well. The other part of the bathroom was the private room of the toilet and shower. Below I have provided photos of our room. The balcony had a small table and 2 chairs.

Transportation

Transportation is available at The Grand Floridian via Monorail, Bus or Boat. The Monorail will take you to the Magic Kingdom, Transportation Center, Polynesian Resort, Contemporary Resort, and back to the Grand Floridian. The Boat will take you to the Magic Kingdom, The Polynesian Resort and back to the Grand Floridian. If you would like to go to the Fort Wilderness Campground or the Wilderness Lodge by boat, you would need to catch that boat at the Magic Kingdom OR you can go the Monorail to the Contemporary and catch the boat there. The bus schedule is usually ran every 20 min, be sure to ask an associate for the exact locations and times. Transportation at the Walt Disney Resorts are complimentary.

Dining

Dining at The Grand Floridian is plentiful. You may choose to dine at the restaurants if you are a guest at the Grand Floridian or a guest at one of the other resorts. You may dine casual and fine. For specialty fine dining restaurants it is advised to make reservations prior.

The Gasparilla Island Grill is a casual, self service area with a variety of self serve items such as pizza, sandwiches, salads, grill items, snacks, bakery items, beverages, hot coffee, soda, tea and much more. It also has a large seating area to dine inside or you can choose to sit outside and eat at the tables provided outside.

Inside the Main building you will find 1900 Park Fare which offers breakfast buffet and dinner buffet that includes meat carving choices, a sushi selection, salads, veggies and so much more. The dinner is also dining with characters. The breakfast buffet will be the Alice in Wonderland characters and the dinner buffet is a Cinderella character buffet. The dinner also comes with a photo. You may reserve your reservations in advance to be sure to get a seat since seatings book up quickly.

If you are in the mood for some afternoon tea, you will find in the Garden View Tea Room of the Main building a variety of Hot Teas, small bites and treats.

The Grand Floridian Cafe is also available for Breakfast Lunch and dinner and offers really good food. The restaurant is beautiful and elegant with the Victorian decor. It offers a mix of American favorites, seafood and pasta.

Citricos is a upscale Mediterranean Restaurant and American seafood restaurant that is a beautiful modern decor with a sit up bar.

Victoria & Alberts is a classically elegant fine dining restaurant that offers a fine dining experience. You will find fine china, sterling silverware and crystal stemware. The restaurant also offers the Chef’s table with a 10 course meal prepared specially designed and prepared by the chef. The meal is also paired with wine.

Outside on the water by the boat dock you will find Narcoossee’s Restaurant which is a upscale seafood restaurant. You will have great waterfront views for dining at this restaurant. Brunch and Dinner are available.

You will also find at the pool area Beaches Pool Bar and Grill. It offers a large variety of beverages, alcohol beverages, sandwiches etc.

You will also find Basketball, Campfires, Arcade, swimming pools, movies under the stars, poolside cabanas for rent which include,( Ceiling fan, furniture, smart tv with cable, mini fridge with soda and water, snacks, towels, suntan lotions and a cast member that is designated to serve you. )The Cabana’s are for a extra charge. Docked in Castaway Cay

Ship Stats: 84,000 GT 984 Ft Capacity is 2,713 passengers 11 passenger decks Disney Wonder ship is usually based out of Vancouver. This sailing we took was a 3 day sailing out of Port Canaveral. We took advantage of her visit here locally and sailed on her to the Bahama’s.

My Youtube pictorial of Our Wonder Cruise

Embarkation:

Our Embarkation of the Disney Wonder was really easy. When we arrived at the terminal to check in they gave us a ticket with a boarding call number, it went by pretty fast, we had about a 10 minute wait. As we were boarding the ship, the crew announced our name as they do on all Disney ships. The Wonder ship’s Atrium was really beautiful. The ceiling had a cluster of red glass flowers which were really beautiful. The one thing about Disney ships, they shine! They really are so clean and shiny! The grand staircase was in blue and gold with Aerial, The little Mermaid as the Atrium statue. The restaurant Triton’s which is in tribute to The Little Mermaid film sits right behind her statue. We had our first meal in Triton’s as we boarded instead of our usual trip to Cabana’s lido buffet. We had a nice and relaxing lunch! I enjoyed a chicken caesar salad and Oreo brownie cheesecake, really good!

Dining

Dining on the Disney Wonder includes various fast food areas near the Pool, 3 main dining areas, Cabana’s lido buffet, buffet bar food in one of the adult only lounges late night, and Room service!

Triton’s Restaurant

Dining on the Wonder ship is exactly like all the other Disney Ships with the Rotational Dining of 3 Main Restaurants. Your servers will follow you to each restaurant. On the Wonder Ship you have Triton’s Restaurant, Tiana’s Place Restaurant and Animator’s Palate. The Rotational dining allows guest to have a different dining experience along with different menu options and theme. You may share a table with other folks depending on your party size, if you want a private table, request one when you book your cruise and then when you board the ship go to the Maitre D and request it.

Each restaurant has it’s own unique theme. Triton’s Restaurant is dedicated to The Little Mermaid film with Triton being Aerial’s father. The ceilings have beautiful pale pink, baby blue glass with swirls of gold. It offers a French flair menu and a beautiful stain glass of blues, greens and baby pink on some of the windows. The artwork on the back wall of Triton is done in tiny pieces of glass. Below are some photos from Triton’s that I took.

Tiana’s Place

Tiana’s place was another Main Dining Restaurant on board the beautiful Disney Wonder ship. The Restaurant is themed for The Princess and the Frog film. You will find live entertainmentCuisine with Tiana and her band playing allowing for those interested to shake a leg! The cuisine is creole and cajun, very good I must say. I had the cajun sea bass and mama oldies bread pudding. Man, it was good! It was a casual yet elegant restaurant with brick walls and elegant glass ceilings with metal scrolling. The kids and adults had a really nice time dancing and doing a train around the restaurant with the Bayou Alligator, Tiana, and wait staff. Below are some photos I took during our dining.

Animator’s Palate

Animator’s Palate was the other Main Dining Restaurant. We did not eat at Animator’s during this sailing. Instead we had a, tired and lazy night, ordered a pizza at the pool to watch a movie on the big screen under the stars. However, we have been to Animator’s Palate on our other Disney sailings and it is awesome! It is a wonderful experience. The entertainment you get from listening to Crush talk to those in the room is really funny and interactive. The art that you draw actually comes to life in the restaurant. The decor of the restaurant is a black and white restaurant with animator drawings all over the walls, checkered floors and seats that are Mickey’s bottoms. It is an awesome time so be sure if you sail on Disney Cruise Line that you eat at Animator’s Palate. Oh and a little tip: The Black Truffle pasta for an appetizer is really good!!

Cabana’s Lido Buffet

Cabana’s Lido Buffet is amazing, honestly, the food is really good! I have been on 3 of Disney Cruise Line’s ships and all of the Lido’s were amazing. I will soon be traveling on Disney Fantasy so I will update you in my blog of that sailing of how it is on that ship, but the 3 I have been on was really good. The food is of different nationalities and lots of great comfort food. Salad bar is top notch and nobody has a seafood buffet like Disney Cruise Line that I have been on. ( I have been on Carnival, NCL, RC and Disney) Disney beats when it comes to Lido buffet food. The buffet is by far excellent. Below are some photos I took during some of our meals at Cabana’s. Also the outside seating at Cabana’s has amazing aft views. Its really nice in the morning to come out and have breakfast outside, feel the fresh breeze and look at the scenery no matter if it is the port you arrived at or the ship sailing, it will offer a nice view.

Things to Do

Buena Vista Theater offers up movie theater films at different times throughout the cruise. They will have a variety of Walt Disney films. The Walt Disney Theater has live broadway shows that are amazing! You have to check out a show in the Walt Disney Theater if you have never. They will have 2 evening times to fit in around your dining time. You will be in for a treat! They will have other shows sometimes during the day that are scheduled like the Magic show we went to. Next to the theater you will find a kiosk of treats and popcorn sold along with beverages and alcohol beverages for extra cost. The servers will come around and serve you if you prefer to be served from your seat instead.

The shops offer up some great duty free Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney World souvenirs, jewelry, high end jewelry, clothing, toys, treats, collectibles and more. The shops will also have the Captain’s signing usually the last night but check with the staff to see what date and time for your sailing. The Captain will sign something if you want him to and also take a photo with you. I collect ship models of sailings that I cruise on, so I have the Captain’s sign those. I have put the photo below of my daughter with her signing on the Disney Dream with Captain Henry.

Miranda with Captain Henry

The activities are endless and will be printed on your Personal Navigator that your stateroom host will leave in your stateroom during turn down service. You can also download the Disney Cruise Line app to get all the information right at your phone along with dining information and menu’s. Below I posted photos of our Navigator we had on this cruise.

Sports Deck

The Disney Wonder ship had various things to do on the Sports Deck. They have a running/walking track on I believe it was Deck 4. The Sports Deck on the top had Basketball, Foosball, ping pong. There is no putt putt on the Disney Wonder ship. The ship also has a video arcade. The Pool deck offers a larger pool for adults and teens and the Mickey pool is perfect for your younger kids. Life vests are provided if needed and the lifeguard is always on duty. You can take a dip and watch a movie at the same time with the kids which is nice!

Our stateroom

Our stateroom on board the Disney Wonder was a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom. Room 2568. It was a nice cozy room. The room had a queen size bed, a sofa that turned into a bed, a coffee table, a vanity desk with drawers and a stool, a refrigerator, tv, closet with storage shelves and hanging sections with lots of hangers. The split bath has a tub shower and sink in the one bathroom and the other has a sink and toilet along with some shelves for storage. Our stateroom host was truly amazing, he really was very attentive and kept us stocked with everything that we needed throughout our cruise!

Be sure to check out my youtube video for a complete room tour!

Disembark

Disembarking was super easy on the Wonder ship as it is with the other Disney sailings I have went on. Our family does the express check out which you walk your luggage off. It was quick and painless. We had a great time on board the Disney Wonder cruise ship. It was a nice weekend.

Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas Cruise Oct 2018

In Port at Coco Cay Private Island

Enchantment of the Seas was a bitter sweet sailing for our family. We had booked this trip for my mother’s birthday who was turning 70 years old on the sailing date of October 26, 2018. Unfortunately my mother passed away suddenly just weeks prior to this sailing. We tossed on possibly cancelling the trip, however we knew that a lot of money would be lost and when it came down to it, she would never want us to cancel it! So we went on with the trip. It was an amazing cruise. This sailing was in memory of her!

We sailed out of Port Canaveral Cruise Port and the embarkation was very smooth! We parked and got right into line which went very fast. Before we knew it we were on the ship. She was a beautiful ship. Below are her stats.

Enchantment of the Seas is now 82,910 GT since her 2005 refurbishment, she is 988.71 length and holds a capacity of 2,446 passengers.

Activities

The ship had a very relaxing and fun feel to it. The Atrium had live entertainment and the ship activities were plentiful with theater shows in the Orpheum Theater, game shows, pool activities and an outdoor movie screen for movies under the stars. The cruise director was very good about keeping the ship packed with activities and entertainment. The Pool area had loungers that were plentiful and hot tubs. Kiddie splash area was also available. Fitness center had free weights, ellipticals, treadmills and classes. The spa offered services for nails, hair, massage and other relaxing services. The sports deck offered rock climbing, a jogging track, bungee trampoline etc. The ship also had a video arcade and library that offered books and board games. Casino Royale had several slot machines, table for poker and other card games and tournaments.

The ship also had duty free shopping of souvenirs, clothing and jewelry. A photo gallery is also available for viewing your photos and option of purchase.

Dining and Bars

The ship offered several options for dining. The Windjammer Lido Buffet area was a casual dining option that offered all kinds of different foods. The My Fair Lady dining room was the Main dining area. Specialty dining is at Chops Dining where we had an amazing steak dinner for an up charge. The food was really good and our server was excellent. It was certainly worth the up charge. There is also Room service available and soft serve ice cream. The ship offered several bars including a pool bar and a bar in the solarium. A Ben and Jerrys coffee shop is also located on the ship to offer up Ice Cream or specialty coffee and snacks.

The quiet area

The Solarium area was a nice quiet area to grab a book or take a dip in the pool. With a large number of loungers and table and chairs, you could also grab a bite to eat at the small cafe in the Solarium and eat at a quiet table. The pool area in the Solarium is indoors and has a life guard on duty. There is also the Solarium bar nearby if you would like to order a drink. You could find late night snacks at the Solarium too which would include pizza, sandwiches and salads to name a few.

Our Stateroom

Our Stateroom was a 2 bedroom Grand Suite Room 8552. It was a spacious stateroom that offered a large walk in closet when you came in the room. The Closet had a lot of storage area with a furniture piece that had several drawers, life jackets and enough area to store your suitcases. To the right when you walk in is the main hall bath that had a sink, toilet and shower with no tub. All toiletries were available. Then you come to the first bedroom which offered a king size bed which could separate into 2 twins and 2 upper berths, a small bedside table and a window that had a curtain that could be opened to see the living area of the stateroom. There was a small furniture piece of drawers.

Next you come to the living area which provided a sofa that turned into a double sleeper, a large entertainment center that had shelves, tv, refrigerator, room safe and wet bar. There were plenty of electric plugs. There was also a coffee table and a sitting chair. Off the living room was the patio balcony that had a large table with 4 chairs. The balcony could be opened from the living area and the master bedroom. The last room was the master bedroom which had glass opening doors with a curtain for privacy and offered a king size bed that turned into two twins, a large double closet, a vanity dresser with drawers and a stool, electrical outlets and a bathroom with a toilet, sink and tub with shower. A blow dryer is also available.

The room was really nice and clean. It offered us access to Concierge Club. Our Concierge host was amazing at calling us and making sure to check in and see if we needed reservations or any other service. She was also very informative on any port information we had. The Concierge area had food and beverages at certain times and allowed for quiet seating. We were very happy with our stateroom. Here are some photos of it. Our stateroom host was excellent on this sailing, he made sure all our requests were filled and was very attentive.

Flag ceremony

One thing that stands out that I really enjoyed about this sailing was the last evening. There was a flag ceremony that the Captain hosted in the Atrium. It was all of the crew broken up to groups that were from the same country. Each group would come out and dance with the flag from their country. It was a fun time. It was amazing to see how many countries actually work on one ship.

Captain’s Flag Ceremony

We had a great cruise on board the Enchantment of the Seas. It was a fun time! I would certainly sail her again. I hope that you and your family may be able to sail on the Enchantment of the Seas.

Norwegian Epic Cruise March 2018

NCL EPIC STATS: 155,873 GT 1,081 Ft 4,100 Occupancy

Norwegian Epic Ship in Port at Great Stirrup Cay

I sailed on Norwegian Epic March of 2018. It was a 3 day Bahama Cruise. A 3 day Bahama cruise is a great opportunity to see how you like a ship before spending 7 nights or longer. I have to be honest and say that I had read a lot of negative reviews on the Epic just prior to our Embarkation day. In fact, I was wondering at the time if I had made a mistake by booking the ship. The answer would be no, I didn’t. In fact to us it was a great ship, a great time, service was excellent and there is really nothing I can complain about. The white party was fun and we played Bingo the entire cruise, O’Sheehan’s was one of our favorite places to grab a quick bite or play some bowling.

Embarkation at Port Canaveral Cruise Port was 2 hours for us from car to boarding. Apparently, the ship was late due to a woman that had fell over board and that caused the ship to arrive late and things got behind. Thats ok, things happen and it is perfectly understandable. So, I can not tell you if the embarkation is fast, we did not experience it on this sailing. Once on board, we were in awe at how big the ship is. The Atrium had a large movie screen, seating , coffee and bar services nearby, guest services, it was beige with a rich dark wood trim, additional seating was available on the upper level.

Our Stateroom

We had a mini suite stateroom and it was really nice. It was very clean and cozy. It was a quite different setting then we are used to. The bathroom was not in a closed room with door like what I am used to. Instead it is open and split. The shower is as soon as you walk in the room to the right and the toilet to the left. A curtain is provided for privacy from the other part of the cabin. The sink is joined with the cabin. It offered a lot of storage areas and the balcony had a small table and two chairs. The room had a king size bed that converted to two twins, a sofa that turned into a bed, vanity area with stool, refrigerator, a lot of storage areas including a closet. Our stateroom host was really attentive and made our stay really nice.

Activities

The ship had a wide variety of activities for the whole family. There was entertainment always going on in the Atrium, a large outdoor movie, the pool area had hot tubs and an aqua park area that included water slides, water bowl, and a kids water area. Live shows in the theater, casino, game shows, along with a sports deck that included Rock climbing, basketball, bungee trampoline, climbing cage. There is also a video arcade and a bowling alley near O’Sheehan’s. You will also find on board an Art Gallery and Art Auctions, several bars and an Ice Bar that serves your drinks in an all ice room. You will have capes and gloves provided and does cost an up charge. Music Entertainment is also found on board the Norwegian Epic with a nice night life, don’t forget to join the fun at the White Party too. Everyone dresses in all white and has glow sticks while a DJ entertains. You will also find a Fitness Gym for all your fitness needs. The spa will deliver up some serious relaxation with the amazing spa services.

The casino offers a smoking and non smoking section. The ship also had duty free shopping available along with Photo gallery to view and purchase photos and gifts.

Dining on NCL Epic

The Norwegian Epic dining was plentiful. There were many choices to choose from. With the freestyle dining, you were able to dine when you want, how great is that? Specialty restaurant reservations can be made prior to boarding in the reservation area of your online account. It is always best to book your specialty dining before sailing since space books up quickly. If you do not have a reservation, stop by the restaurant anyway, perhaps there was a cancellation or they may have seating available. Taste and Manhattan are the two main dining areas and the Garden Cafe Lido buffet that are complimentary. Specialty restaurants include, O’Sheehan’s, Shanghai noodle bar, Teppanyaki, La Cucina, Cagney’s, Le Bistro. Room Service and a specialty coffee shop is also available.

Great Stirrup Cay

Great Stirrup Cay is Norwegian’s private island located in the Bahama’s. There is no docking which makes it a tender port. Tender boats will transport you from the ship to the island. Usually takes about 10 minutes once you are on the tender. The island was very good size, had beautiful palms and white sands. There were 3 beach areas and a life guard was on duty. If your hungry they have a buffet lunch available with picnic tables to sit. Restroom facilities and some local vendors for shopping. The vendors do not accept credit card so bring cash. There were also cabana’s for rent. Those can be rented in the shore excursion section of your online account prior to boarding.

When we visited there was construction going on so I am sure there were things added since we have been. I had heard rumor to a zip line being put in. I will be sure to do an update on what is new when I go back for my next visit to the island. The island had 3 different beaches, clam shells and loungers were available first come first serve. Snorkel or swim with the sting rays are some of the activities. The island does have a few sand wheelchairs that are first come first serve. I look forward to my next stop at Great Stirrup Cay.

We had a great time on board the NCL Epic, I would like to sail on her again in the future. If you or your family would like to sail on the NCL epic visit the website of Norwegian Cruise Lines at http://www.ncl.com

Have you ever taken a cruise vacation? If you have not, here is why you should.

Personal Blog by Mlb Destinations

I never imagined myself being addicted to cruising, in fact, I always said I would never cruise. It was never something that I saw myself being interested in. It was something I never even dreamed of. That was until my brother convinced me to take my very first cruise. I was going to learn real quick how wrong I was.

I took my first cruise back in September of 2015, my thoughts about cruising totally changed after I took my first sailing. I remember being so nervous about getting sea sick, so many things would go through my mind. I would go online and read reviews. I would just search and search for information about cruising. My sail date arrives and as I arrive at the port, I was so mesmerized by the massiveness of the ship, the beauty of her as we were pulling into the port. Wow what a site!

The Grand Staircase in the Atrium of the Disney Dream Ship

The Disney Dream Ship was the first ship I had ever sailed on. I had never seen something so massive. Massive that actually floats on water. I remember my first feeling of walking up the gangway to enter. It was a feeling I had never felt before. It was awesome. There was something so inviting. The fun was there from the moment I stepped on. The crew announced our family name as we boarded. The magic of Disney was on water also. I could not help but look around as I boarded the ship. The beauty of the atrium, all the shiny gold trims, the classiness of the decor, people going here and there, everyone with a plan. You just want to stop and just look, soak it in. To me, there is nothing more exciting than cruising. There are so many great reasons why cruising is an amazing vacation.

Somewhere in the deep blue sea

~Cruises are for any occasion~

Cruises are fun for the entire family! You will find loads of family fun. If you rather, you can take your special someone and have a very romantic cruise, or perhaps take a cruise alone. Singles have great options to meet other cruisers while sailing solo.

If it is a family cruise that you have in mind, the kids will have plenty to do. Kids activities are great in the children areas on board the ships. Most all ships have an area for infants all the way up to older teens. These areas are nice to have available so your children have somewhere to spend time keeping busy and meeting new friends while the adults do adult things. You and your mate might like to have an adult dinner or perhaps go to a show, bar or comedy club. With cruising, most everything is included in your price. There are of coarse offerings which may be at additional charge. So many options on board to bring the family together is what makes cruising unique. Various entertainment, game shows, theaters, sports activities, pools, water slides, the list goes on.

If you are a solo cruiser you will be likely to meet new people on a cruise. Your table seating at dinner will sit you with other people to meet and get to know. If you sail on Norwegian Cruise Line, the Studio staterooms are designed for solo passengers and offer a singles lounge where single passengers can meet other singles. The adult itineraries, shows, bars is always an opportunity to meet others as well.

If it is a romantic sailing is what you are looking for, you got it, the adult retreats are really nice on cruise ships. There is always a spot to sit alone somewhere or take a long walk together around the ship. In the evening you can take a walk and look at the moon light over the water which is beautiful. You can book spa, couple massages or have a bottle of wine with some chocolates sent to your room for a quiet night in. You can also request with the Maitre D when you first board the ship for a table for 2 if you would prefer to have a nice private dinner. Most ships have specialty restaurants that will offer a quiet romantic area for couples. There are numerous of things you can do to have a romantic, fun time on a cruise ship.

Specialty restaurant on The Carnival Liberty

On a cruise you will have a variety of things to do. There are scheduled activities and shows that will be in your cruise compass given to you at turn down in your stateroom. It will provide you with the next port of call information, weather, activities, times and locations.

Sports, movies, live theater shows, bars, shopping, spa, fine dining, casual dining, casino, portrait studio, library with board games and books, children activities, specialty coffee shop, Art Gallery and auctions, live game shows all in one vacation. The endless services that are available, the staff works extremely hard to make sure you are happy. Most everything is complimentary however some services, game rooms, bar drinks and specialty restaurants are optional and have an additional charge.

My girls playing basketball

You can never go hungry on a cruise. The dining is various and is available up until late hours of the evening and for some ships you even have 24 hr room service dining available along with soft serve ice cream stations.

You can also get as many photos taken that you desire. Main dining will have photo opportunity, various places around the ship, and most cruise lines will have photo props ready when you arrive at your port destination. Your photos will be available for viewing and options for purchase during your entire cruise in the photo area on board the ship. You can usually find a variety of different frames and other photo items for purchase also.

Port of Call

With a cruise vacation, you not only get all of the variety of things to do on board, fantastic dining and several dining options, kids activities etc, you also get to see some amazing places. Going to different ports is always exciting, seeing the different cultures and learning about the history. Since you only have so much time at each port, it leaves things to do for your next arrival to that port on your next cruise. You could go a bunch of times and still be able to find something to do or explore. I never mind going to some ports over and over because I always find things to do that I have not done. If it is not a port I care about, I am all for staying on board and exploring the ship!

Cruise excursions are always available for you to book also and offer different experiences for your trip. You can book excursions prior to sailing on your online cruise account. If you rather, you can also just get off the ship and explore the port on your own, have some lunch, shop in the local shops. The options are endless and you can just relax and enjoy your day doing what you want. On a cruise your free to do what you want when you want! Your on vacation right? Who doesn’t want to go see some of the most beautiful destinations in the world, eat fine dining, enjoy great entertainment, enjoy a nice tropical drink or take a dip in the pool or hot tub? Sounds good to me!

Ships in port Nassau Bahamas

At your service!

No matter what you want in a cruise, you will have a fantastic vacation, yes it is a vacation. You do not have to worry about entertaining the kids, going to the store getting food and cooking, babysitting for the children. You are on vacation, a true vacation where you do nothing but have a relaxing fun experience, a clean stateroom in the day and evening turn down at night. What is better than that?

My turn down animal made by our stateroom host on board the Disney Wonder ship

I encourage you to take your family on a cruise. The memories that you can make are endless and I do not think you will regret it!

Carnival Victory Cruise Sept 2016 and the new upgrades coming up!

Carnival Victory Ship in Port of Nassau Bahamas

Our Carnival Victory Cruise September 2016

The Carnival Victory Ship was out first cruise we took with Carnival. We took a 3 day Bahama cruise out of Port Canaveral, FL. Embarkation was FAST! We were very impressed with Carnival and how nice Embarkation was.

The not so good

I can not say that our experience for this cruise was the best I ever had. I always hate to say anything negative about a vacation, but sometimes the shoe fits. If I told you it was amazing, I would be lying to you. If I told you it was OK, then that would be the truth. With that in mind, I also know you have to take the good with the bad and always have a good time regardless.

The things that made our experience not so good was the very strong smell of stale cigarette smoke throughout the ship was not pleasant for us. When we boarded the ship the first thing I noticed was the awful stench of smoke. On top of that, you would not expect for your stateroom to have cigarette smell but ours did. It must have been really poor ventilation.

Our other reason was the dining. The food in my opinion was just not great when we sailed on her, in our opinion, the food was cheap quality and not prepared good. It included the main dining and lido. The service was not the best either which did not make for a very good dining experience. It was just OK. It just was not what you expect from a cruise. I am glad to hear now that it is 3 years later nice things are going to happen to the Carnival Victory ship!

After this sailing, I did not book another Carnival cruise for a long time! It wasn’t until later that I was browsing one of the cruise ship app forums and I saw that there was talk that the Carnival Liberty ship was really good. A couple people were saying that they sail on her every year. I decided to give it a try and in Sept of 2018 we sailed on Carnival Liberty, we had an amazing time! It was excellent! The food was great, the service was great, was not the experience we had in 2016. Soon after that cruise we took the Carnival Breeze, and it was even better! Way to go Carnival!

I see people in cruise forums talk about what ship they were on and how they had a negative experience and therefore they will not cruise again. Trust me, every experience is different, every cruise is different, every staff is different! I am always sure to fill out my survey and voice my situations, because if I do not say anything then nothing can be fixed. I encourage you to fill out your survey if you are unhappy, let your voice be heard, they do listen and it does matter!

Casino

THE GOOD

The ship was FUN, we did have a great time! It was clean and we enjoyed the comedy shows. We loved the casino! Pictured above is my brother, we played slots often. We also attended the Park West Art Gallery Auction which was really nice. I bought some Art work and got some free champagne. The activities on board were fun and plentiful. The Cruise Director was really fun and informative. The live music was really good.

Our Stateroom

Our Stateroom was a Grand Suite, Room 7298, very nice and roomy. It had a lot of space for storage and a nice big vanity area for dressing. The room was really spacious. It had a good size balcony with a table and two chairs. Here are some photos of the cabin.

Now the Better news!

Carnival Victory Ship is getting a makeover!!

The Carnival Victory Cruise Ship will be getting a $200 million dollar renovation with a new name! She will be named the Carnival Radiance and will have sailings out of Port Canaveral, FL. In this upgrade she will have Guy’s Burger, Guy’s Pig and Anchor BBQ, Blue Iguana Cantina and Bar, Red Frog Bar, Alchemy Bar. A Cherry on Top candy store! The ship is also going to get more cabins and will increase to 2,988 passengers. There will be other renovations and additions that is going to make this ship an awesome time. I can not wait to sail on her again and see all the changes.

Here are some more photos from our trip. Even there was some things about the cruise we did not like, we had a great time! Carnival ships are FUN! The Cruise Line is one of my very favorite lines. I can not wait to try the NEW Carnival Victory that will then be the Carnival Radiance when she is in Port Canaveral in 2020. I will be sure to give you an updated review!

Make sure you check out the new Carnival Radiance when she arrives to Port Canaveral November of 2020. Itineraries can be viewed at http://www.carnival.com

Disney Dream Cruise Sept 2015

Disney Dream docked in Castaway Cay

My very first cruise I ever took was on the beautiful Disney Dream! She is a massive beauty to say the least! She is the sister to the Disney Fantasy ship and runs 3, 4 and 5 night sailings from Port Canaveral, Florida. Everything about this trip was magical. I went on the trip with my brother for his birthday. It was the end of September which was a Halloween sailing. There was Halloween decor and shows in the Atrium and Halloween themed activities for the kids. The characters were dressed in Halloween attire during meet and greets. How did I know that this trip would lead me to my passion of cruising. Port Canaveral Cruise port is home for Disney Dream.

Parking at Port Canaveral for Disney Cruise Line

When you get to the Port Canaveral Cruise Port, there are two ways to park for your Disney Cruise Line parking. Regular parking and preferred parking. Preferred parking is an additional fee, it is not in a covered garage but allows you to park closer to the terminal and attendants will take your luggage out of your car. Regular parking is in the covered parking across the street from the terminal. It is a longer walk so if you have mobility issues, I would recommend the Preferred Parking. If you decide to do the regular parking you may pull up to the curbside to give your luggage to the attendants prior to parking. Regular parking for our 3 day cruise was $68 and preferred parking was $88 at the time. Once in the terminal, check in was a quick and painless experience. We were on the ship in little time. Be sure to check the website for more information or the most recent parking prices. I have included the link for Port Canaveral Cruise Port at: http://www.portcanaveral.com

Disney Cruise Line announces your name when you board. Yes, you are greeted by your name for the whole atrium to hear! How great is that? Her rich beauty is seen from the moment you walk on. The 3 deck Atrium is so richly decorated with blues, golds and a splash of red that pop. The massive staircase and chandelier are a grand entrance eye catcher for any prince or princess. Admiral Donald Duck is the Atrium statue of this massive beauty. The crew were so friendly and helpful on this cruise. The magic and classiness of this Disney Cruise Line Ship is certainly the reason of why I want to return every time.

Our stateroom

Our stateroom on this cruise was Room 7596 which was a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah. (Category 4C) It was really nice and clean. This stateroom was large enough to hold up to 5 guests. It had a queen size bed ( does not convert to twins), a sofa bed that turns into a bed, an upper pull down bed over the sofa and a Murphy bed that pulled out of the wall. **The queen size bed is high enough to allow for luggage or other items to be stored under neath. ** It had a sofa table that opens for storage, a closet that had hangers and plenty of storage area. There are glasses and an ice bucket, a refrigerator, room safe, tv, a vanity style desk with stool. Wave phones are offered in your stateroom free of charge to communicate with loved ones while on board. **Although the phones are free to use, if you loose one you will be charged to replace it.** The Stateroom bathroom I did not get a photo of at the time however the bathroom was a split bath with one side being a toilet and sink and other sink and shower. The split style bath makes it easier for the entire family to get ready at the same time. Shampoo, Conditioner, body lotion, tissues were available. There is also a hair dryer in the stateroom. If you need a clothes line to hang wet clothes it is located in the shower. The stateroom was nice and clean. Our steward was attentive and kept us stocked with everything we needed. The balcony was a good size and had a table and two chairs. **The gifts on the bed in the photo was a welcome back tote from the cruise line and the sport bottles and drinking water I had purchased previously before boarding, they were in our stateroom when we arrived. To order items for your stateroom prior to boarding visit the Disney Cruise Line website and go to the bottom of the page, you will see a link for In-Room Gifts and Shopping. https://disneycruise.disney.go.com

Dining

Disney Dream has amazing dining! The ship offers rotational dining and your dining assignment will be on your keycard. Under your Castaway number on your keycard it will have 3 letters: ** (example: AER means A for Animator’s Palate on your first night, E for Enchanted Garden on your second night and R for Royal Palace on the 3rd night. )** It will also state your dining time and table. It is always fun to dine with others and meet new people however If you wish to have a private table, see the restaurant Maitre D and they will help you with your requests. Be sure to go soon after boarding to ensure your request is filled. The dining on this cruise was truly an impeccable fine dining experience. So many food options and each restaurant will have a child’s menu. If you prefer something vegetarian or a lighter dish, those options are available. The Staff are very good with meeting your dining and nutritional needs. The Main dining rooms as I mentioned is Animators Palate which offers up Disney characters who come to life and offers amazing dishes. Royal Palace which has French and American cuisine and has beautiful classic Disney artwork. Enchanted Garden is the last of the Main dining rooms. This elegant restaurant serves a variety of menu items and really has a beautiful garden touch.

Disney Dream also has casual dining available. Cabanas Lido buffet, Flo’s Cafe, Eye Scream, Frozone Treats, and 24 hour room service. If you are looking for a sweet spot visit the Vanellopes sweets and Treats. You will find an array of goodies for an extra charge. Adult dining is available in Palo and Remy. Both restaurants are for adults only 18 years and older and offer a luxurious dining experience you will not forget for an additional up charge. You can find healthy choices at the Senses Juice Bar which is found near the Spa. Preludes is located by the Walt Disney Theatre and has bar items along with popcorn and snacks for an additional fee. You will find servers going around the theater to take orders if you wish to order from your seat. There was also a specialty coffee area that had coffee, latte’s for an additional fee. The finger snacks they had were free of charge.

Our dining experience on board the Disney Dream was really nice, our service and food were amazing. I hope it is for you and your family also! For more information on Disney Cruiseline Dining visit the website. https://disneycruise.disney.go.com

Activities and Entertainment

Disney Dream had many activities scheduled every day. You will have a Personal Navigator awaiting on your bed with your chocolates every evening at turn down. All of the information for the next day activities, times, next port, weather etc will be in your navigator. The ship has two theaters, Walt Disney Theater and Buena Vista Theater.
