Collard Greens

  • 1-2 bags of precut Collard Greens washed OR you may use fresh batch that are cleaned and ready
  • Ham Steak, Smoked Pork Neck Bones or any other kind of meat you would like for seasoning
  • 2 TBSP Sugar
  • 3 TBS Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 3-4 Hot Peppers with a little added juice
  • Sat and Pepper to taste
  • Fresh Water to cover
  • Large Pot

In a large Pot add greens, chopped Ham Steak or other meat, add all other ingredients to pot. Cover with Fresh water. Bring to boil on high heat, cover and reduce to simmer. Simmer at least 6 hrs or to your liking. Serve by itself or as a side dish. Delicious over rice! Add some favorite pepper sauce on top (optional)! Enjoy!
